The Firm has an established Regulatory Practice with the Firm’s Partners appearing before the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, various State Electricity Regulatory Commissions, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission as well as the Appellate Tribunal and Supreme Court in this regard. The Firm has a presence in and expertise in advising, drafting, and filing tariff and regulatory matters in the Electricity and Petroleum, and Natural Gas Sectors. The Firm also advises and represents on a regular basis, various conventional generators – coal/gas/hydro based, distribution licensees, power exchanges, transmission licensees, State Load Despatch Centres, renewable energy generators (solar and non-solar), Regulatory bodies, among others.

 

The Firm provides legal assistance in diverse sectors including power, infrastructure, oil and gas, roads, airports, ports, mining, and energy. On account of the Firm's expertise and knowledge, it has been able to consistently provide solutions, supported by comprehensive legal advice and strategy.

 

The Firm also has extensive experience in international and domestic arbitrations in various sectors. Some of the areas include the sale of goods, Power Purchase Agreements, Transmission Services Agreements, FIDIC contracts, oil and gas platforms, subsea oil and gas pipelines, civil construction contracts, EPC contracts for power projects, joint ventures, amongst others. The Firms Lawyers have been involved in ICC, LCIA, SIAC, UNCITRAL apart from other arbitrations under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. 

 

The Firm also has a pan India presence with offices in Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai and a network of affiliated offices and resources, enabling it to assemble dedicated teams of professionals to address client requirements.    

 

The Firm has been founded by Mrs. Swapna Seshadri, Mr. Anand K Ganesan, and Mr. Manu Seshadri, who had individually well-established practices, before coming together to offer their experience and expertise in the common platform of MSA Partners.
