MR. MANU SESHADRI

Manu Seshadri is a founding Partner of MSA Partners. He is an experienced commercial and
infrastructure lawyer. He has over 21 years of experience in arbitration and commercial
litigation. He regularly appears across a range of legal forums such as the Supreme Court,
High Courts and Arbitral Tribunals such as the London Court of International Arbitration,
Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the International Chambers of Commerce, as
well as ad hoc arbitrations.

His experience includes advising and assisting clients across sectors including infrastructure,
oil and gas, power, trading, renewables, and manufacturing with respect to various
contractual, and regulatory matters. He regularly advises clients with respect to legal and
contractual issues arising out of FIDIC contracts, port projects, metro rail projects, hydro-
power projects, oil and gas platforms, gas pipeline contracts, civil construction contracts,
EPC contracts, power projects, and renewable energy.

Manu’s knowledge and experience with respect to regulatory issues such as open access,
power tariffs, gas transportation tariffs, transportation of gas, Renewable Purchase
Obligations (RPOs), renewable energy are also well regarded, and his advice is sought after
by generators, regulatory commissions, consumers, renewable power producers and
licensees.

MRS. SWAPNA SESHADRI

With over 16 years of experience, Swapna has worked extensively in Corporate Laws and the laws relating to the Energy and Infrastructure sector in India.

In 2013, along with her other partners, she founded the MSA Partners. She has wide experience in litigation and corporate work related to energy and leads a focussed team of lawyers to provide a comprehensive and effective solution to clients in the corporate and regulatory spheres.

She appears regularly before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, Regulatory Commissions, National Company Law Tribunal, and Appellate Tribunal and Arbitral Tribunals. She has a clear understanding of the nuances of energy and infrastructure practice and has appeared in various landmark judgments rendered by the Supreme Court on Electricity laws.

Swapna is also a qualified Company Secretary and an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, having performed extensively in India and abroad.

MR. ANAND K GANESAN

Anand K Ganesan has over 17 years of experience in regulatory, corporate advisory, and litigation practice and is one of the founding Partners of MSA Partners.

With a strong focus on Energy and Infrastructure laws, Anand has extensive expertise in regulatory jurisdiction. He provides valuable advice and representation to leading corporates and statutory bodies operating in the Energy and Infrastructure sector, particularly on contractual and regulatory matters. His clients include generating companies, transmission licensees, trading ad distribution licensees, Power Exchanges and also Regulatory Commissions.

Anand has successfully handled complex issues in trial, appellate, and writ jurisdictions, including commercial arbitrations. He is regularly appears across various legal forums in India.

He has been involved in various transactions related to unbundling and restructuring of integrated electricity utilities, Power Purchase Agreements, Coal Mining Documents, Natural Gas Supply and Transportation Agreements, Joint Ventures, Captive Structuring, Technical Collaborations, Takeovers, and Schemes of arrangements.

In addition to his legal qualification, Anand holds a degree in Commerce and is also a qualified Company Secretary.
